Milla and Libby plant Rimu trees to help stop global warming.
Today Milla and Libby planted five rimu trees to help stop global warming. They are very small so we all need to make sure they get looked after properly. Please make sure they don't get knocked by balls or hit by people running past.
Levi W and Harry's Rat Trap plans
Me and Levi have been going down to the river. And we have been cutting stinky plants down and today we saw rats. So we were wondering if we could do a trap. Here are two videos and we are thinking of the best one. We will probably put a trap by the water because that's where we saw the rat. We have chosen the first video because we have all the tools for it and with the second one we do not and it is hard. You need a metal cylinder, peanut butter, a bucket and some water, also a screwdriver. I will also bring some maize from home.

Libby, Elise and Austin making a start to help their cause.
Libby, Elise and Austin have written to the SPCA to find out what the SPCA needs. This is what they wrote:
Hi there
We are from Lepperton School. We are researching Causes Worth Fighting for. We are doing it on cat and dog abuse. A cause worth fighting for is something we think is important that we can help with. We want to help the SPCA in any way we can. So could you tell us what we could do to help you? We would like to collect food or blankets or raise money. What do you think?
Kind regards,
Libby, Elise and Austin.

Hopefully the SPCA writes back soon so they can start collecting the items the SPCA needs.

Chace's Writing
Once upon a time there was an egg, a really small, white egg. It belonged to an eel. Her name was Eely. The egg hatched into a larva! The larva swam to the river. When it got to the river mouth it turned into a glass eel and as it made its way up the river it started to change colour. When it reached the mountain Eli had fully changed colour to black and he was now one and a half metres long. Eli started to make a hole in the bank. He got a mouth full of dirt and spat it out. One day later, after lots of hard digging, the hole was about two metres into the bank. Fins had grown. Eli got longer and fatter. The next day there was a massive trout. Eli chased it and was yelling can we be friends? The trout stopped and said yes if you don't try to eat me, my name is Mason. I was never going to eat you, Eli said come to my home it is in the clearest part of the lake, it was crystal clear. After they went to Eli’s house they went to the dock were humans came to fed the eels bread. Luckily there were no other eels here because they would try eat Mason. Mason saw a shiny bug he chased it. Eli shouted no its fish lure but it was too late. Mason was already hooked. The fisherman reeled Mason in. The fisherman grabbed Mason. Eli jumped up and knocked the fisherman into the water. The fisherman swam as fast as he could and crawled up the bank then ran as fast as he could to his truck. The lure was a treble hook lure. Treble hook mess up a fish mouth. Mason had a bleeding mouth quick get to my hole said Eli because the blood will attract other eels, you will be safe in my hole. They swam as fast as they could to Eli hole when the got to Eli hole, Eli said you can live here if you want to, ok said mason. Eli had an idea, he told mason to wait outside and an hour later you can come in Eli made the hole massive and made a room for mason, wow mason said now we can live together but said it is so dark, eli dug a hole in the roof for light, thanks said mason. The next day they went to the river mouth to see their friend Charlie he was a huge Kahawai he is a meter and a half long!!! And our other friend Torpedo he is a Yellowfin tuna they played in the river mouth 1 hour later one more thing. These two fish can live in freshwater back at the lake they had a party they had meat bugs and dead fish. The next day, they had bacon and eggs for breakfast and then they went to the river mouth and left the river mouth to go out to sea to find more friends 5 minutes later. The water is 50 m deep and there were schools of bluefin tuna. They found a bull shark he was crying they went up to ask him why he was crying. The bull shark said I don't have any friends because my old ones started bullying me! Eli said we will be your friends ok and my name Ben. Lets go to the River mouth were my home is. The next day they were getting ready for a trip to the mountain. To be continued ...
