Libby's phone stand.

Libby made a phone stand for her parents.

Luca's Diary

Great diary Luca. It looks like you had a busy day. It is really good to see that you have done some editing. You have used some interesting vocabulary too. Ka pai Luca.

Fynn's Diary

Cortez's Marble Run

This is my marble run. You have to get to the bottom right without falling in a hole. It's a bit boring because I tried to make walls but they kept falling down so I made holes instead. It's still the hardest in my family. Next time I will not try to make walls because they will keep falling down.

Great work Cortez. It looks very challenging. I like the fact that you didn't give up when your idea for the walls wasn't working and you changed you plan. What could you do to help your wall stay up?

Aysha's Bow and Arrow

Today me and my mum made a bow and arrow set. It was funny because before when I shot one of the arrows (kebab stick) it shot into the wall and my mum had to pull it out. One of the problems was with the quiver, the handle wouldn't stay on. To fix the problem I put two rubber bands around it to keep it in place.

Myra - Places I've Visited in India

Today I’ll be talking about places I’ve been to. This is the famous Taj Mahal, I went there when I was 7. I went with my dad to the top dome, the view everywhere was amazing.  I bought back a model of the Taj Mahal.

This is Bopal , city of lakes. I went here before the lockdown. We had so much fun we went on a jet ski and a paddle boat, went on a nice walk exploring, went to many temples, saw many famous places and got a very nice place to stay.

This is Kerala. We were planning on going here but because of COVID19 we couldn’t. I was looking forward to it but it’s okay, we went to lots of other fun places too.

So that brings us to the end goodbye

Myra :)

Challenge accepted - Blake Cover

Blake has proven he can land the ball from 3 metres doing a backwards throw!

Ka pai Blake.  Who else can do this or better?

The Obstacle Course - Jamie

This is mine (and Kendra's )obstacle course. We made it at our grandma and grandads.
First you had to go under t chair, then zigzag around the pots. Then you went under the netting, and walked along the beam. Then we had to climb up the ladder, and jump down onto the mats. I always did a roll when I landed. Then we had to walk along the garden edge for balance, and gently avoid the stones we placed on there for an extra challenge.  Then we had to go under the fence, and stand on every paver. Over the last log, and then sit down. And your time stopped. We got grandma and grandad to do it too. It was a lot of fun.
Grandad helped us make it, and gave us ideas on what to do.

Cowboy & Birdbrain - Jackson's review

This book is about two mail men that have to deliver a package to a ship in the middle of the ocean. One is a boy that’s a bull and another is a bird that’s a brain. It is quite funny.

Jaxon's ANZAC lantern

Kobi's Groovy Guitar

I've done my guitar and here are some pictures of it
I used string, an ice cream container and a cardboard tube.

Fynn's Diary

Fynn has been sharing his daily diary with me. I have been giving him feedback and he has been making improvements every day. Tino pai Fynn! Here are a couple of entries with a photo of his amazing football goal.

Kendra's Perfect Poached Eggs

Kendra's whānau are really appreciating her cooking skills at the moment. She has learnt how to prep the boiling water for poached eggs, add the salt and then cook them to perfection. Kendra is also pretty good at making pancakes. It sounds like a good place to be for breakfast! Ka mau te wehi Kendra.

Indi's New Book

This is my book that I got in the mail today. I am so excited. Mum and I have already read Wolf Girl 1. It was so exciting that we got the 2nd one. I was so excited I squealed. It is called Wolf Girl the Amazing Escape. On the back it says - "A wildly exciting adventure series from bestselling author Anh Do. After 4 years alone in the wild, Gwen is overjoyed to see another person.

But when she is thrown into the back of a van and stolen away to a prison camp, things don’t look good.

How will her pack find her? Where is her human family? Will the other kids in the camp be friends or enemies?

Luckily, eagle is fast, the dogs are brave, and bars and fences are no match for the one and only Wolf Girl!"

That sounds like a really great book Indi. Enjoy reading in the sun this afternoon.

Luka's Anzac Biscuits (with subbed ingredient)

On Friday I made Anzac biscuits. I switched maple syrup for brown rice malt syrup.😛

Kendra and Mum - Accidental Gardeners

Me and mum are accidental gardeners. We have been growing cherry tomatoes, pumpkins and today we found out we are growing potatoes. Here is the cat who was helping me find them and  she came out of nowhere .

Those are lovely photos Kendra. It's a beautiful day to be accidental gardening!

Megan's Art

Great artwork Megan, can you give us a description of it in the comments below please?

Libby's Musical Instrument

Libby created a really cool musical instrument using recycled materials. Look closely at what she has used. Ka rawe Libby!

Macy's Lockdown Diary

Great writing Macy. It is good to see that you have thought about how to use paragraphs in your diary. Tino pai!

Matthew's Writing

Matthew's writing goal is to use speech marks, ellipses and commas for lists.  You can see he is using speech marks and ellipses in this text.  He sent me his writing, and I asked him to revise it to add more detail, which he did, and now his story is a lot more interesting. Ka rawe Matthew!

Libby's Lockdown Birthday Dinner

Libby planed and made a birthday party menu which she and her family had for dinner.
